Unto the archers of Nordskogen, greetings!
In consultation with our Archery Champion Muirenn, we, Caoilfhionn and Gabriel, Baroness and Baron of Nordskogen, declare that a competition for the honor of baronial archery champion will be held this very Saturday at Crispin’s Archery Thing.
The Baronial Championship Shoot will take place immediately after lunch. Anyone may participate in the shoot, but those who wish to be considered for the championship must add themselves to the list kept by Lady Muirenn.
Our new champion will be chosen based on this shoot in addition to prowess and comportment observed over the entire event, both on and off the line. Skill, as indicated by scores, will be one factor but not the only factor in our evaluation.
Competitors who live beyond the barony’s borders may enter, so long as they are willing to fill the champion’s duties of promoting archery in Nordskogen, representing the barony on the field, and attending the baronage in court when able.
The winner will be announced during evening court on Saturday.
