News from the Baronial Archery Competition at Crispin’s Archery Thing

After a challenging and busy shoot, we are proud to announce that the new Nordskogen archery champion is Sami Mishler! Sam scored highest of all competitors for the championship and also exhibited the joy and graciousness that make for a great ambassador for archery and for our barony. Congratulations and welcome, Sam!

We also shout a hearty Skol! to Lady Muirenn (Rebecca Nygren), our outgoing champion, with many thanks for her enthusiastic work for archery in the barony, her fine counsel during the tournament, and her endless supply of Very Sensible And Not At All Silly Ideas for archers to try.

The championship shoot was open to all comers, and the winner among all participants was Count Rhys ap Owein ap Gwyn, in a final duel with Mistress Vivian Griffin. Skol for these fine archers!

Thank you to Master Crispin Fletcher for creating the shoot and forty(!) artful targets on short notice, and for opening it to all archers rather than the far shorter list of competitors. And, of course, a huge thank-you to the event staff, volunteers, and marshals who made the event possible.

See you on the line!  Baroness Caoilfhionn
