The much anticipated Known World Metal & Glass Symposium, hosted by our own Canton of Blachemere and the Shire of Rivenwood Tower, will be taking place September 3–7 (Labor Day Weekend), 2015.
The symposium will be composed of classes for as many disciplines as instructors can be found to teach for, including blacksmithing, silversmithing, bladesmithing, jewelsmithing, casting a variety of different metals, coining, metal inlay, armoring, enameling, lampwork, and stained glass. All with a desire to teach or learn are invited.
And just in case you work up a powerful apetite manipulating materials, be they metallic or silicate, Mistress Aramanthra the Vicious and her household will be providing food.
Help Wanted
The event organizers are still seeking volunteers for a few staff roles
- Royalty Liason
Help the crowned heads; our own and visitors. Provide space, retainers or for other needs that may arise in the course of the event. - Merchant Coordinator
Be a contact person for merchants, keep a list, help with layout and setup of the merchant area, and check merchants in and out. - Promotions
Publicize the event, that it be known of to metal and glass enthusiasts in every kingdom. The work of getting on every kingdom calendar, and ads into all the newsletters is begun, but there is much left to do.
