Thank you to all the amazing fighters and baronial citizens who joined us at yesterday’s Moot! It was a glorious evening of excellent bouts, and a fun tournament to watch.
Kagemori (Josiah Stone) set up a Round Robin, feeding to a semi-finals and finals round. We were pleased to see so much skill on the field, and were proud of our fighters, who supported each other with positivity, points of honor, laughter, and matching battle axes. (Who can resist a set?)
Kagemori, your leadership was reflected by the comportment of the tournament, and the eagerness of the participants. Thank you for all of your service to the Barony, and we look forward to more pet pictures!
The Baronial Champion selection factors in a variety of elements, and in this case, we selected a young and upcoming fighter, who’s shown much grace and prowess in the short 8 months since their authorization. We are pleased to announced Rachel will be our new Armored Champion.
She placed second in the tourney overall, was an eager, honorable participant, who took out unfamiliar weapons to several fights. The moto of our first year’s reign is “Be Curious” and we think this good gentle will serve us well in that capacity. We believe she’ll provide excellent service to the Barony, and we urge all of you to provide her with support and guidance as she continues to develop her persona and skills on and off the battle field.
We also want to acknowledge Dyr, who won first place in the tournament, and to thank him for the strong fighting skills. It’s great to see him back, and we appreciate that he and his partner made the long trek from the borders of Nordskogen to participate in the moot. We were proud to give him a ring from our hand, in recognition of his win, and excellent comportment.
To Nordskogen’s excellent Armored Fighting community, and to our newest champion,
SKOL!
