UPCOMING BARONIAL SPECIAL EVENTS
TOYS FOR TOTS TOURNAMENT,
SATURDAY, NOV. 16, 2024, 9AM-4PM
Bethel Lutheran Church (ELCA), 4120 17th Ave. S., Minneapolis MN 55407
The Barony of Nordskogen has decided not to have a gate fee
but any generosity to cover the rental fee is welcome.
Site Steward Contact Info: Lord Gospatric de Reynes

Join us for a tournament of skill, silliness, and generosity in support of Toys for Tots! Rapier, armored, and youth fighters can enter the tourneys by donating a toy or being sponsored by a toy donor (there will be plenty of extras!).
Spectators can then donate a toy to change the stakes, whether by specifying a fighter challenge (use off hands, legs are off limits, etc.) or by making a silly request (do a dance move, trade funny insults, etc.)
There is lots of space, so we encourage the populace to bring crafts, games, and a friend! With the amount of available space, this event could be an option to host the princess sleeve rapier tournament.
Participants are encouraged to bring a potluck contribution, or to partake of the many great restaurant options nearby!
Site is ADA accessible. The best entrance for wheel chairs is on the E 42nd Street side of the building on a path straight from the parking lot to the building. The closest entrance to the event space is on the 17th Ave S side of the building.
PARKING
The site has a parking lot on the south side of the building. As a courtesy to the neighbors please avoid parking on the east side of 17th Ave (the side opposite the church).

Attention Interested (And Interesting) Armored Combatants!
Have you ever wanted to be on the big screen? Do you look suspiciously like Jason Statham, and are tired of having your raw talent and rugged good looks overlooked? Do you have the smoldering gaze of Anya Taylor-Joy, and look just as good eating a cheeseburger?
We’ve been approached by a film student hoping to get some assistance with a short film. His name is Mike Novak, and his contact information is below. He’s looking for as many available people as are willing to show up and fight in armor. He has a rough script that can be tailored as needed depending on attendance/availability.
Mike does not have a firm date set but is hoping to be shooting within the next couple weeks. I’ve taken the liberty of suggesting next Sunday, the 10th, around noon. This would give any/all interested parties ample time to coordinate.
Mike’s contact info: phone: 320-423-1658; email: novakmichael9 at gmail.com
Please note that this is in no way an official Baronial function or activity, but it sounds like it could be fun, and that’s why it’s being shared here.
Update: Date change for filming is now Sunday the 17th, in Brackett Park. Plot synopsis: Slain warriors from different places/times wake up in a more inclusive version of Valhalla.
Update the 2nd: If you are interested, please contact Kagemori. He’s trying to get a rough idea of how many would be willing to show up on Sun.
