On Baronial Polls

28 Aug

A Baronial Poll is a poll to advise the Crown. It is not a vote, per se. The Crown welcomes letters and comments along with a Poll. The Crown will make the final decision, taking into account the polls and other correspondence that they receive.

Our TANG, THL Sigeric, will be tallying the polls. All polls received, from whatever source, will be destroyed once they are tallied.

Paid SCA Members

The Baronial Poll for the Baronage candidates has been sent out to all SCA members in Nordskogen via the USPS this week, you should be receiving it soon.

Our TANG has a list of all the paid members, and will be tallying against the list, so if your membership was lapsed as of August 1, 2015, you will not be included in this mailing, and will have to use a non-member poll.

Non-paid Members

The non-member poll will be posted on the Nordskogen website as soon as the members receive theirs, and the link will be posted here. You must include your name and ZIP code on your mailing envelope or email for tallying.

Update: The polls are out! Non-paid members may download a version of the poll below. If you are unable to make one of these options work for you, please contact the TANG directly.

Due date & mailing

All polls must be postmarked by September 15, 2015, both member and non-member polls.

You must put your name and zip code on the envelope or in the e-mail so that multiple polls aren’t received, and your residency in Nordskogen can be verified. The TANG is the only person who will ever see these names.

If your poll is postmarked later, or not emailed to our TANG, by Sept. 15, your poll will not be counted.

All polls must be mailed or e-mailed DIRECTLY to our TANG, THL Sigeric, at

Tim Fuerstenberg
114 – 27th Avenue North
St. Cloud, MN 56303

Do NOT send your poll to the Crown, or to the Northshield TANG address, or to any Nordskogen officer or the current Baronage.

Lastly, please participate in the poll! It is important that Crown receive information from the Barony.

Thank you,
Niamh, Nordskogen Seneschal
